Bioinformatics Software Engineer (m/f/d) in Berlin, Belgrade or Remote within the EU

Your Responsibilities

Planning and developing bioinformatic toolchains and pipeline for NGS diagnostics.
Requirements analysis, design, development, testing and documentation of software
Planning of software architecture
Ensuring a high quality of the developed software and the corresponding documentation
Cooperation with the stakeholders of the specialist departments, project Manager and Business Partner
Quality assurance of documents and source code
Participation in the performance improvement of large data sets

Your profile

A doctorate degree (with +3 years work experience) or master degree (with +5 years work experience in the field) in Bioinformatics, computer science or related field
Strong hands-on programing skills in C++ or Python
Several years of professional experience in the entire life cycle of software and database development including documentation
Preferably background in Biology, Medicine or Genetics. NGS knowledge is a plus.
Enthusiasm and self-motivation
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, combined with good team spirit.
Ability to set priorities, meet timelines and company objectives.
Residence within the EU
