Medical Technologist / Lab Technician (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

Depending on you skills you may work in different laboratory groups, possible responsibilities are:
  • RNA / DNA isolation from different material types
  • Work in the Cell culture department
  • Performance of molecular genetic analyzes using different technologies (e.g. PCR, MLPA, NGS)
  • Preparation of PCRs, DNA and RNA libraries, quality control, and Sanger as well as NGS sequencing.
  • Handling of state of the art Equipment and liquid handlers
  • Documentation in LIMS
  • Biobanking of patient samples
  • Laboratory organization according to international quality standards (ISO/ CAP/ CLIA)

Your profile

Since we need to fill this position as soon as possible, a valid work permit for the German labor market is required. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to assist with visa or work permit applications.
  • Successfully completed training as BTA / MTA / CTA or BA in Biology (or related field)
  • Hands on experiences in working with Cell Cultures, DNA-Extraction, Sanger Sequencing, NGS sample preparation or equivalent laboratory experiences are beneficial
  • Good theoretical knowledge in molecular genetics is a must
  • An accurate, structured and reliable working style is required
  • Communication in English is required, German is desirable
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team of Medical Technologists
  • Fit in MS Office
